Cool - now Jabber, Facebook and Skype in one beautiful place :)
Supports all the social networks you will need, and with nice integration with each network
Pidgin pizje!
Great chat aggregation, sometimes has issues with logins. Very customizable.
I much prefer Pidgin but this seems to be the best one out there for OS X
best IM client EVER!
Adium just makes chatting simpler; with so many options, and easy access to all instant messenger accounts in just a few clicks, Aduim allows users to be able to stay in touch with contacts, while staying stylish and uncluttered. Great app.
Wonderful all-in-one chat app, a must on the Mac
If it's IM on Mac, it's gotta be Adium. I've used it for at least a couple years, and I don't yet see a reason to try anything else, especially with the addition of Facebook IM.
The best chat client period. If your on Windows, then its just one more reason I am sorry for you. Can't live without.
The best IM.
Very useful client to handle all my IM communications. Particular love how the interface is completely customisable and the collection of xtras are generally very useful too.
By far the best Multi-IM client on OS X. I don't do much video or audio chat, so the limitations it has in that respect are not a problem.
This application has supplanted iChat for most of my IM needs. Doesn't do video, audio or screen sharing, but most of the day I'm in text IM so that isn't an issue. Very customizable...
A very nice, and probably the best IM client on the Mac. Even though its a derivative of Pidgin, it doesn't have any of its ugliness. Supports a shit load of IM and Social Network protocols. Blends into the UI fairly well, doesn't consume resources, is Open Source and has very pretty customizations. Need we say more?
Unless you plan to do severe video stuff, this is most certainly the client you need.
