I've used Adium for instant messaging ever since I got my Mac. It's a great client with support for a myriad of instant messaging protocols, and it unifies them all into one easy to manage buddy list. Tabbed interfaces are one of my favorite pieces of UI, and Adium does a great job handling your conversations in tabs. Another great thing is that you can skin the program with many built in themes. If you're a Mac user, you should definitely give Adium a try.

It's great especially if you're like me and have multiple MSN accounts along with Facebook and Google Talk. Unfortunately my Facebook all of a sudden stopped working through Adium so thats a bummer. Hopefully a fix is out there somewhere :\ Also, the customization options of Adium is excellent. Virtually everything about it is changeable, and thanks to the tons of people creating themes and iconsets for Adium, everyone can make Adium look and perform exactly to their preferences. 10/10

Adium just makes chatting simpler; with so many options, and easy access to all instant messenger accounts in just a few clicks, Aduim allows users to be able to stay in touch with contacts, while staying stylish and uncluttered. Great app.

If it's IM on Mac, it's gotta be Adium. I've used it for at least a couple years, and I don't yet see a reason to try anything else, especially with the addition of Facebook IM.
