Version 6 was by far my favorite. I've used 7 and 8 and they are business driven. Like PS3, Acrobat is becoming a heavier program.
Its getting abusive, hooking on windows shell - AcroRd32Info

Sticking with Version 6. The upgrades appear to be driven for business and not the regular home user who likes to have PDF files of sites, papers, notes, markups, etc.
Adobe Acrobat 7 is bulky, but is feature-rich! It does what is claims, and it does it perfectly! PDF control is great in Acrobat in the sense that you can convert to and from almost any format and optimize to any quality or size. But if you're looking for some very simple PDF modification, like conga said, FoxIt would be better for you.
It works but takes ages to load.
bulky and slow, for your average user. give foxit pdf a try unless your doing print work.
