Dreamweaver is the best web design tool hands down. There is no such thing as
a professional developer that uses WYSIWYG, so i'll skip that aspect of the
program entirely (I cant rate it because i've never taken it seriously). As far
as a web development IDE, Dreamweaver has no competition, for one simple reason:
the built in FTP support. I've tried numerous other development environments,
and while there are many great programs out there, none offer top notch ftp
support like dreamweaver. Any serious web developer requires great ftp support,
for working with numerous sites across multiple servers. How else is one
supposed to get any work done efficiently manually managing files across these
servers? This is, to me, the sole reason for Dreamweaver's dominance of
professional web development.
