Professional Layouts and Graphic Design is made in InDesign!
muhahaaha :D imagine creating a whole book layout in Photoshop. But actually indesign is really great piece of software.
great app!
mmmm book layouts
just nice 8)
InDesign totally knocks Quark off the top in the line of page-editing & layout software.
To the first commenter; It's all very well using Photoshop, but have you considered the fact that Photoshop defines text as a bitmap, meaning that small type can be un-readable when printed, and the file sizes are huge.
On the other hand, InDesign renders type as a Vector, meaning small sizes come out perfectly & file sizes are severly reduced.
Personally i love indesign and just like alias his comment below i basically do a my textworks in indesign, downloaded the languagepacks and it's super
Most people do the simpler print layouts in software like Microsoft Word. I would have done the same for my college magazine had I not known about InDesign. Sure, it's a memory hog and has a steep learning curve, but once you get used to it, it's amazingly flexible in getting things done the way you want them.
Frankly, I think InDesign is about the most useless application in Adobe's Creative Suite. I'd much rather do my layouts in Photoshop. Unless you are doing top of the line layouts, don't bother.
