i had forever been using photoshop to edit my pictures until i had my hands
on lightroom. it makes life simpler but as other new age adobe softwares, this
again is memory hungry.
Just started using it, and I like it a lot so far. I've been looking for
something to manage my 10K+ collection of photos I've taken, and this might be
it. I like the dual monitor support and the very slick interface. I had been
using Picasa, which I still like, but Lightroom has more editing capabilities.
It's still no Photoshop for editing, but for basic things it works well. It does
use a lot of resources, but my PC has a lot available, so it runs smoothly. I
don't know how it is on PCs with average amounts of memory, but on mine it's
currently using 1,7GB of memory.
Excellent features although lacks refinement around image management -
metadata handling is very average. Good processing of RAW files and excellent
user experience.
Since i have Lightroom, i seldom open Photoshop again.
Its so fast to do the changes at my images with Lightroom.
Hands down the king of multi-platform image management & development. I use this on my PC desktop and Mac laptop on the go.
Add Linux support and this would be perfect.

Better, dare I say it, than Photoshop - if you're a photographer, that is. Aperture is ok too, but I prefer the UI of Lightroom.

Bad performance and Awesome Features
Loading long time x.x But really great.
Great for managing your workflows.
damn pretty and pro, no surprises there. UI a bit complicated, takes a moment to learn, but once done, using is smooth. Adobe quality.
Best for DSLR user
great tool for image processing!
I love it! So easy to handle it!
excellent all around :)
Muito bom, mais caro.
