This program is a great all-in-one utility. Takes care of spyware, defrags the registry, optimizes internet speed. So if you have ASC and an antivirus, you're all set. I recommend it to my friends who use Windows.

I've been playing with this software, and it's not bad. I've always wanted a replacement for the old Norton Utilities, but not something bloated. Only time will tell if this software ends up being a keeper - if it stays free, it may well stay on my computer.

Interesting information, JoWazzoo. I've tried a handful of 'RAM cleaners' over the years, but cleaned them out pretty quickly. If there's one that does a meaningful job, I'll give it another try. Thanks for the tip!

Comment for Finn ... you said:

"I have the suspicion that RAM cleaners are bogus...."

Jeez, let's argue bout politics or religion, eh? (Eh is for my Canadian friends :-))

Some probably are bogus - some are not. I have done my own tests on many of these. Now as it turns out, I am not impressed by any of the Ram apps built in to all-in-one packages like Advanced System Care. But ...

One Memory type product I have tested and use regularly is SpeedItUp (free). It does work. Period.

Now fleshing this out is for another place, another product, but many people don't know that Ram retains crap even when you turn the machine off. When you turn it back on there is some "residual" Ram not available. Check out the topic Forensics and the program Memoryze. Interesting stuff to say the least.
