Aether (www.aetherlog.com) is a program for recording amateur (ham) radio contacts, on the HF and UHF bands. It is written for the Mac OS only.

The program interface is very good/intuitive, and does exactly what it advertizes. It is a functional but not an overly complex program. Some nice features include automatic look-up of a ham operator's name from call sign, using various on-line databases, and then a 1-click addition of this information to your Mac address book (if desired).

The program also interfaces with most ham radio rigs, to automatically collect a lot of the information in a QSO, through an RS-232 interface. It will also import or export information in ADIF format.

I've found the program easy to use and exactly functional as adverized by the developer. Its a good example of professional programming on the Mac OS.
