… More EditThe GIS can be defined as a set of technologies aimed at collecting and processing of spatial information for a specific purpose. Thus activities involving GIS are performed by specific systems for each application. These systems are most commonly treated as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). A GIS system can be treated as such for the processing of geographically referenced data (or geo), since its removal to the generation of outputs in the form of conventional maps, reports, digital files, etc., should provide resources for its storage , management, manipulation and analysis. The GIS consists of spatial data (image or map) and tabular data (information - table).
