Aion is the most visually beautiful MMORPG ever made. In this ethereal world, you will have the power to direct dynamic relationships between the Elyos and the Asmodians to control the fate of the world. You will evolve Aion's storylines through social, economic and cultural experiences that are both interactive and cinematic. This game will transform the way you experience new content. The actions of every player on each individual server will push storylines toward new directions. As these actions accumulate, they will eventually trigger which will then further change the game's economies and alliances. Players will create their own distinct history and will have their names forever recorded in fame or infamy. Aion is a game that knows no cultural boundaries, and will provide an art style, story and game mechanics that will last through the ages and be appreciated by a global audience.

Il love it
Only complaint I really have about Aion would be the lack of in-game support. They don't seem to respond quickly to the customers, unfortunately. But aside from that, the game is actually pretty spectacular, both in graphics and gameplay. It's refreshing to find an MMO that will actually challenge the player, as well as have a nicely made PvP system.
I've played WoW for nearly 5 years, and was hyped for Aion for almost 3. When I first played in the Chinese OB, it was great. A real refreshing break from Azeroth. However, after about a month, things got tedious. I realized, aside from the incredible PvP system, the RP side of the game was very bland. While not an Asian grindfest game, it does require a fair bit of grinding between some of the levels. And many of the quests are the typical "Kill 30 of these and return to me for a reward". I canceled my subscription yesterday because I finally lost interest in the game. I feel very cheated, considering I've been so excited for the release for almost THREE YEARS.
AION is one great game. I played WoW for 5 years now, and is really refreshing, although the interface looks partially really like copy pasted from WoW. It reminds me a lot of Lineage II, but it still has its own fresh style. The graphics are awesome for an MMO, the optimization is just great. The quests are nice, although most of them are the typical MMO quests saying "kill 12 of that; bring me 25 of that".I find the Campaign quests being a really nice idea, and overall the leveling doesn't consist from pure grinding (Ragnarok online), or just blind questing (World of Warcraft: WotLK). What I find really annoying are the server downtimes. It may sound like from a total addict, but 5 hours of maintenance? That is just awkward. I hope the situation wont repeat next week. Still, my opinion is clear - Aion is better than WoW of these days. Much harder, refreshing, and not overflooded with -teen kiddies arguing about level 212 gear in heroics. I am sick of that, and hope NC will not try to make the game more like WoW. The example of this not working is Age of Conan.
It's a good game, but teh support is bad.
LV35 Galidator here, on Spatalos :)
Loooooooove Aion. :) <333
Pretty fun MMORPG, that is a bit refreshing from all the WoW mechanics most MMO's adopt. While the interface is simple for the genre, some of the text is hard to read. It could use a better font, especially when reading quest objectives. Performance is fantastic for the graphic it displays, except in the usual congested city, which is mostly a bandwidth/memory issue.
My only issue is the level 18-19 point of the game when you're forced to either group up to tackle group quests or grind the two levels to 20 until you get normal quests again to advance the story. The story for the game is well-written and intriguing and worth the time to read it all to get into the world.
The game is great! I really love it, the game looks verry good, havent seen any mmo that looks so good.
So far PVE is great, with my lil assasin i chop them down easaly. Havent encounterd real PvP but have high hopes for it.
Only down side is the huge waiting line in the evening especially in the weekend.
But that will be cleared in time.
Decent so far, but server issues and lag cause difficulties for the very limited flight time you get ... probably will make PVP a bit troublesome too -- rubberbanding is never fun for that. We'll see how the coming weeks and months play out.
Great game. I have a lvl 26 Gladiator and have played since closed beta #4
After playing in the closed beta, open beta and the live launch, I have to say that NCSoft has handled the incredible influx of players very well. It's a little early on judging how successfully Aion will fare in the future, but if the constantly full servers are any indication, we should be playing for a long time to come.
Here's hoping we receive the ability to customize the UI a bit more in the future.
As of this post I only have a level 20 Templar.
Pros:
Fun.
Interesting and fun combat system.
Some interesting quest lines.
Looks nice.
Cons:
Turns to a grind fest pretty quickly towards the end of levels/zones once the campaign quests have been completed.
I find sometimes in combat it seems to be a bit touchy with abilities, but that may just be Aussie lag :(
Lack of UI customisation (even basic scaling/moving bars) is a little bit of a put off as well.
Best MMORPG in the world)
Nice graphics for a MMO
It's a Good game, but it has his problems, hopefully they fixing it. Overall, it's a nice game with awesome graphics, nice story, and it's awesome to play with it.
