i downloaded both win7 and office 2010 Technical preview AND Beata
Microsoft's preferred downloader client - I got windows 7 through this. It's not fancy at all, but does the job, and have decent transfer rates.

Useful for people without their own downloadmanager to download huge files. I guess it's able to restart a download. Better than splitting a file in 80 pieces.
Might use a bit more information for the user.
(BTW Akamai is a content delivery network used by MS, Adobe and others.)
microsoft obviously get paid everytime this is used, because it would nearly be quicker to post the download

Naff little download application, only seems to be used by Microsoft. Unfortunately it's what you stuck with if you want to download MS Beta's legally!

Downloading Windows 7 RC with this crap, because Microsoft don't let me use some good downloader, even when I am downloading it at top speed anyway, so .... I have no words.
