Anime DataBase (AniDB) is a non-profit anime database that is open freely to the public. This means that all users have the ability to add or edit information to AniDB. AniDB contains information about all Japanese anime (TV series, OVA, Movies, etc.) that can be accessed through the Animelist. AniDB contains information about all anime related files floating on the Internet. Users are able to freely add new file information or modify the information of existing files. There are no files available to download from AniDB nor will its staff permit any form of downloading requests, offerings or discussions at AniDB or its forum. However, any registered user can find useful hashes, video/audio related information, and other types of information on files entered by other users.

The best anime database there is. I doubt there's an anime that doesn't have an entry in AniDB. Air times, notifications, group commenting, anime rewiews, mylist, etc - none other site have all these features. It's all in one place with simple design, ajax browsing and great community who helps to build AniDB.

One of the best anime/manga sites I've visited and it's very useful. It has a huge database of anime/manga.

AniDB has a big-ass database of anime and hentai, it also has a forum and allows you to keep track of your watched/plan to watch/dropped/on-hold and completed anime, it's good, but for a database of this size and popularity (and staff), it misses a lot of anime's and the bugs are in the majority..

It has a huge archive like ANN. It may have some lacks but still no site can beat it about anime database.

The interface is terrible but there is no better place to go to for getting accurate info on anime.

I barely watch anime but it's still really useful, redundant and confusing interface though.

Great site to keep track of the anime I watch. Get alerts on new related series and episodes.
