Anki is a spaced repetition system (SRS). It helps you remember things by intelligently scheduling flashcards, so that you can learn a lot of information with the minimum amount of effort.

After years of looking for a decent, free flashcard application I finally found Anki. The spaced repetition method is by far the most useful for me and has helped quite a bit with memorizing the tedious amounts of detail needed in medical school. Great little tool. Works on iPhones too (with some work).
