You'll find me on AIM most of the time. :P
Even though AIM has more features, and is more tightly integrated with the AIM service than other IM apps, it just doesn't work well. It crashes almost every time I open it, and while IMing
I love AIM its great for contacting friends fast and easy. I like it a lot better than Windows Live Messenger. Windows Live is really good too. Overall AIM is better because of the customization you get. You basically can pick whatever you want AIM to do for you. It runs better on a PC which it should because PCs have always run better on programs like that (except skype) I highly recommend AIM to others.
I only use it because I got too use to the interface and all my friends have it. I do like the way it looks unlike windows live messenger.
"AOL may eventually do what Microsoft did and force an upgrade to the newest version by not allowing the older versions to connect anymore." ...and so they did that, with the new beta 7.
It's pretty good.
Easy to use instant message clinet!
I haven't used AIM in years, because hardly anyone I know still uses it...more or less them same with YIM.
I'm trying 7.0 Beta2.
AOL may eventually do what Microsoft did and force an upgrade to the newest version by not allowing the older versions to connect anymore.
I still use 5.9 and won't upgrade because the upgrades are RAM hogs. That being said, I love AIM and it's good performance on my system, sufficient features, and the ability to talk to people.
Works rather slow, and really it's just rather mediocre. I've used messengers that had way more bloaty features than this and still loaded quicker. Anybody I know who uses it uses it because it's "the original;" tell me, would you use an outhouse regularly because it's "the original?!"
Ha, just joking, but people can get nutty about that sort of thing.
Its my favorite way to chat and IM people, I find it so much easier and better than many more out there.
I don't like this to much, before when I had my other computer, it would always crash and load really slow, then Nobody would be online and, the fake buddies like Cupid get old...
The best way to communicate online in my opinion. I mean they call it instant for a reason. Has of a lot of neat other features as well.
