The best way to communicate online in my opinion. I mean they call it instant for a reason. Has of a lot of neat other features as well.

It's fine. I just don't like that it literally pushes windows and icons away as soon as it starts up. I don't know if there's a way to change this, but this is one of the reasons why I don't like to use AIM too much. I always have to rearrange everything in my desktop afterwards.

Aim is the IM client I use most. It's simple enough to use however I find that it is a rather of a resource hog, but luckily I have an excellent computer. Nice Features and good interface. :D

this was my first im back in the day and the only one i knew, its just a shame that all the competition staryted with msn and yahoo etc. at the end of the day, they all do the samething so i use them all with pidgin.

AOL Instant Messenger is very much like MSN but is very cool also. The IM battle is a bit like the browser battle so we must appreciate all entrants. However the constant ringing when you send or receive a message gets annoying and that's why I am glad that I have Vista Sound Mixer.

If you are in America, and you are a student, and you were in middle school/high school in the 2000's, this is the program you used.

A lot simpler than MSN, which seems to have a lot more flair to it, so I like it better.

Most of my friends use this program, so it's up for school-work's sake.

Have been using it since middle school.

The standard in instant messaging. Doesn't have as many bells and whistles as MSN, and other messengers, but has the easiest cleanest interface.
