Revolutionized my photo workflow and a perfect accompaniment to shooting RAW on a DSLR. Very easy to quickly pick up and improve photos.

I've only been using it for 3 weeks and the quality of my photos has leapfrogged. This truly is a darkroom in a box and very intuitive for anyone with basic Mac user skills.

If you take a lot of photographs, like to tweak them and use a Mac, this is definitely worth the purchase.

Much more powerful than iPhoto, with image editing plugins, excellent photo management, and full iLife integration.

I'm an Applefan boy but I think this program is alright at best. It still smells a lot like iPhoto for advanced photo hobbyists. It's nothing close to PhotoShop. And it takes up a curiously large amount of my HD space for being relatively feature light application. Editing is limited to
color and picture adjustments with a mild amount of photo editing features. Like I wrote earlier a spruced up iPhoto. The best Apple Application comparison would be like iMovie to Final cut express.

Aperture is a great tool for prepping photos. It's pricey and a resource hog, but it's still a good package.
