Emacs with graphics! Emacs rules!
I didn't have the best experience with Aquamacs. I found that it was very slow (compared to basic Emacs and Carbon Emacs).
If your like me and made the pour choice of heavily investing into One Grand Editor ( emacs or vi ), Aquamacs is the best option I have found on Mac. Takes the UI from 2 stars up to 3... which is freaking hard to do for emacs. The editor and extensibility is of course amazing, but I am trying to kick the habit.
A great Mac-native version of Emacs.
