In Audiosurf, you race down a futuristic and colorful highway. The highway, the traffic patterns, and the scenery are all synchronized to the music you have chosen from your own collection. You earn points for clustering together cars of the same color on the highway, and can compete with others on the internet for the high score on your favorite songs.
This application was the first to use the Steamworks distribution platform created by Steam, and has won many awards for it's amazing and innovative gameplay.

It's what ever you want it to be!

Feeling cocky, play some DJ Sharpnel, feeling mellow, play some James.

    I loves it!

I bought this off of STEAM for $2.50.
Games from Indie Devs are a mixed bag. Sometimes they are great, sometime they are shit.

This is a great one. Very very fun rhythm based game.

I was surprised when I saw it for $2.50. I would buy it again if I could. :P

Also, if you're smart: buy it now while it only costs $2.50 @ Steam.

A really good and refreshing game that lets you surf the soundwaves of your music the way it was meant to be. It's a really cheap game, yet has many many players and a scoreboard of a magnitude that without doubt is rather big. I love it and I most certainly do not regret buying it as the graphics aren't bad either.

Great game for the price. The interface is buttugly with poor response, but once you get past that, the game is great -- runs a bit dodgy for me even on low settings, which IS partly because of my hjosl computer, but surely it could be optimized a bit. Loses a star on features because since launch, unicode support (which was shitty to begin with) has actually gotten SHITTIER. I want to play songs with shift-jis and/or utf-8 characters in the file names and the tags. GET A MOVE ON, YOU SLACKERS.

Extremely fun, extremely addicting, and well worth the $10.

My only regret about this game is that the full version requires Steam to play. I like knowing that as long as I have a registered version of a shareware app and a valid key that I can always reinstall the app, regardless of the existence of an external entity.

Really fun, great price, it even scrobbles your plays to last.fm!

    Must buy, addictive.

Awesome game.. Worth the small price of $9.99.
