An outstanding tool, changes the way of working with computers; not having studied any programming, however, I find it very difficult to get even a little above the most basic level; wish there were some better and more comprehensive tutorials

I've been using AutoHotkey for several years now. It is one of the best productivity tools you will find for Windows. With it you can automate virtually any task you perform with your computer on a regular basis. Navigation, file operations, window management, plus much more.

You don't even have to know how to write scripts. Their forums are full of scripts to do so many things. You can use them to help you with your own work, or learn how to write your own.

Plus, it is completely free. For the convenience, power and ease of use, AutoHotkey cannot be beat.

I don't know what I'd do with all my macros. I use them for emails, doing repetitive tasks in the browser and various other things. It's lightweight, infinitely customizable and works great. It requires some coding ability, but they have good documentation.

I mostly use it to have a del.icio.us bookmark handler for Chrome as explained here: http://www.howtotuts.com/2008/09/08/how-to-accelerate-bookmarking-to-delicious-from-chrome/

I like AHK, a little macro builder, a lot. If you are a techie you may want to give it a try, www.autohotkey.com.

The best thing this software provides is that you can just activate the program already launched. Though it requires an easy programming.

Absolutely love it! It can do everything, and if not natively, by the DllCall() function!

I wrote a bunch of macros for AutoHotkey and I use the software all the time. With AutoHotkey, I can do quite a number of routine tasks with a single keystroke. A great timesaver.

Autohotkey is a dream come true for lifehackers. Automate everything on your machine with a few keystrokes. More versatile than Activewords
