I used to use Avg but it had trouble detecting viruses, and when it did it did a terrible job of cleaning it out. I am very impressed with this.

My favorite free antivirus program. I've tried plenty of free and paid antivirus programs, but avast! is the best. Norton is a system hog, AVG Free doesn't have on-access detection. avast! is always the first thing I stick on a new computer.

Also a long time user of Avast!. Avast! is way better than the bloated mcafee and norton. It has "a vast" number of features and uses hardly any system resources. And the best thing is that its completely FREE!

  • brownspank

Long-time user of Avast! here, and extremely satisfied with its features and performance. Frequent updates are a godsend.
