on-demand scanner. I can't say how good it is at removing infections, but seems
to be pretty good at preventing them.
Absolutely the best Antivirus on the market. The last time I bought and
Antivirus, it ended horribly just months later. I've been using Avast! for over
2 years now and I've never ever had a problem. It's not necessary, but a
Firewall and/or Malware shield would be an awesome addition, but that might
reduce the outstanding performance. Excellent piece of software.

it is very reliable and gets most of the viruses on my PC I have used the Linux and Windows version and think it out preforms even the biggest names.
It works nicer than AntiVir, with less false positives, and comes in a close second in the comparisons I've read. Good on mem. too!
is installed in my pc...I dont know if it is useful... but sometimes he warns me about viruses... So it does its job...

I, too, use Avast! because it is free. It is a bit of a pain but it works.
I use avast! because it's free, and gives me frequent updates.
Sometimes it detects safe applications, though.
