it once was a really good program but the time has come to switch to something else.
Best internet security suite out there on the net.
Recommend that you get the full internet security suite as it totally crushes other security suites out there.
seems to be getting worse as time goes on, and perhaps one day I will have to switch the anti-virus I use, but it still seems to work well enough.
AVG is a great anti-virus application. It does everything I think a anti-virus software should do. The free version has all of the necessities, including scheduled scans. It picks up most viruses, including many that others won't get (of course, it is always good to use a few of the top solutions simultaneously if you are prone to getting viruses).
AVG used to be good (note the comment below me points to achievements 7 years ago!), but now it's just become bloatware that forces itself into your life instead of just sitting back and waiting for you to give it instructions like it used to. I suspect that the free version has now been crippled as it's missing more and more stuff that it should be picking up. I've finally decided enough is enough and have uninstalled it.
Simply the best anti-virus software available. Remember the big year of viruses back in about 2001 with Kournikova etc..? AVG was the only package to detect and prevent every last one of them.

Good Free Anti-Virus
Good free anti-virus software. Got rid of viruses that Norton wouldn't on my computer.
Haven't tried them all, but avg must be up there in the top ten best free antivirus packages.
Have been using it for more than a year now and I can say with all honesty, its a relief to have it running.
