anyway AVG works great, no viruses....
AVG seems to hog up CPU when running standalone EXEs but it can be easily corrected.

It's Free, it seems to do the job, I have set mine for a full scan once a week, I notice someone said it really slowed things down, well it does when it's scanning, so set that up for a time when you are having dinner or something then it won't annoy you. I haven't found any noticeable slow down at any other time and am happy that it works, you'll still need a firewall to be safer though.
Best free product out there. Not resource hungry even when scanning. Nice freebie.
