Not the easiest interface to use, but AVG has proven to me to be pretty stable and secure across the board against a wide range of threats.
This isn't the best anti virus I've used. I will admit because it's free it's worth a shot but when it comes to detecting newer threats, it doesn't do so well I'm afraid.
AVG is awesome, and works pretty well, I'm glad I switched from avast.

Eats your resources like a fat kid eats cake.
I think it's terrible. When you are tired of its nonsense. It cant even remove its self correctly.

anyway AVG works great, no viruses....
AVG seems to hog up CPU when running standalone EXEs but it can be easily corrected.

Using it for over 5 years without any problems.
Not bad for free.
Good, but there are better tools, like Avast.
