Babylon is a single-click translation and information source utility program. When a user clicks on text with the right mouse button or combination of the right mouse and another key, the Babylon window appears with a translation and description of the clicked word. It is a tool used for translation and currency conversion, as well as for obtaining other contextual information. Babylon has a patented OCR technology and a single-click activation that works in any Windows program, such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Internet Explorer and Adobe Reader (PDF documents). When activated, Babylon opens a small popup window that displays the translation.

Babylon is a theft
Cons: Expensive with lot's of annoying activation problems/bugs when having multiply windows users. very sneaky at connecting to internet and can bypass most firewalls with ease to check it's files validity. consume lot's of memory and very slow with more than 10 dictionaries installed locally (very slow internal DB)
Pros: good OCR detection except PDF / lot's of free dictionaries and good GUI design
Comparing to other click-pop-up dictionaries, Babylon is a winner. Text extraction is crappy for most of my PDF files but it works fine for other text documents. The thing I like about Babylon is that it fetches info about your word from several websites (e.g. wikipedia) instantly.
Performance is awful but the features are not bad.
Sometimes it is so annoying
But the price is expensive.
It's one of my best tools in my toolbox.
