Batman: Arkham Asylum, written by Paul Dini, is based on the long-running comic book mythos, as opposed to most other Batman games which are adaptations of the character in other media besides the source material. The Joker, Batman's archfoe, has instigated an elaborate plot from within Arkham Asylum where many of Batman's other villains have been incarcerated. Batman investigates and comes to learn that the Joker is trying to create an army of Bane-like creatures that threaten Gotham City, and is forced to put a stop to the Joker's plans. Much of the game's characters are voiced by actors from the DC Animated Universe, in particular Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, and Arleen Sorkin reprise their roles as Batman, the Joker, and Harley Quinn, respectively. The game is played as a third-person perspective action-adventure game with a primary focus on Batman's physical combat abilities, his "Predator" stealth skills to take out opponents quietly, his detective skills, and his arsenal of gadgets that can be used in both combat and exploration. It was developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos Interactive in conjunction with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics and was released on August 25, 2009 in North America and August 28, 2009 in Europe.… More Edit

Great game. Great storyline, great gameplay, great graphics...
There is of course the fact you need two video cards to play it at full capacity (one for textures and one for PhysX only), but if you are not very picky about not having curtains on the Asylum windows, you are OK without it... :P
Awesome game, I really liked it alot!
The most surprising thing was that I could play it on my MBP laptop on 1440x900 resolution with high settings. Not even a twitching noticable anywhere.
Also I the storyline was really nice :)

Quite useless without PhysX but not bad. It's pretty linear which I don't really like - the psychotic residents of Arkham are interesting though.
I liked it a lot. I felt like I'm in the comic. Interesting storyline and gameplay.
It runs extremely well on my lap with P8400+4GB+3470 with medium+1280x720. That really surprised me as I didn't believe it will work.

I beat it in about 2 days, it is made so a kid could play without frustration yet it is still fun for adults. NOT worth $50
