Not a bad game whatsoever Battlefield Vietnam is the second of the series and not one of the best FPS's that ever came out, but is among some of the better FPS's that have grazed reviewers hearts over the past few years. I myself play it quite frequently among friends and it plays well over a LAN.
It's high points are the number of vehicles classes and accuracy to history of the weapons, it's all in here and you can usually use it. River boats, American Jets, Russian provided Vietnamese jets, as well as tanks on both sides. As well as an easy interface to get used to. It's very standard FPS fair.
The bad points would be lack of good maps, not so good AI (At all.) as well as fickle weapons, in which on a map one weapon may dominate all game, and then playing that same map again reveals that weapon to be completely worthless. Some common denominators remain, but it's far rarer then it is common.
BF:V is a good game but it's my least favourite in the series. Some of the maps are dull and the weapons feel underpowered at times. There's still a lot of classes to choose from and plenty of vehicles to control.
Good game, its a shooter a fly simulator and a race simulator.
You can take a plane, a helicopter, a jeep, a tank, walk, swim, transport people in any transport...
The most complete battle field (literally) simulator.
By the way, war is war and sucks. Battlefield is a game.
