Bento

До знакомства с этой программой базы данных были для меня чем-то очень далеким и сложным, но все изменилось с появлением Bento на моих MacBook'е и iPhone'е. Теперь я использую базы данных ежедневно в моей повседневной жизни и профессиональной деятельности, что мне очень помогает и экономит уйму времени.

Is good at organising simple information, but would like to have ability to perform better joins between different collections.

Making a Smart Collection from an Address Book Collection does not copy over the forms I have made in the source Collection, so this negates the value of the Smart Collection for me.

Syncing with Address Book is s definite good point. I am able to add contacts within Bento and they show up within Address Book.

The ability of sync to iPhone Bento app is also a good positive, but would like to see the iPhone app allow linking between Collections.

Also lack of reporting is a big miss for me, as I would like to be able to produce various reports in different formats.

Even with all these faults this does allow me to better organise information, so still a worthwhile application.

Bento is a great piece of software if you want to organize your information into a database but don't want to learn how to use and manage a database. A great piece of software for casual use.
