… More EditBitcoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer online currency system. Every member is assigned a random alphanumeric "address" from which they can send and receive payment using "bitcoins". Bitcoins are generated by allowing the application to use your processing power to solve complex equations called "blocks". Once your computer has processed a certain amount of "blocks" bitcoins are awarded.

I have a sinking suspicion this is actually a botnet. It is constantly listening to an oddly-named IRC channel and after completing over 20,000 "blocks" I have yet to see a single coin in my account.
