On May 9, 2004, Blogger introduced a major redesign, adding features such as web standards-compliant templates, individual archive pages for posts, comments, and posting by email.On 14 August 2006, Blogger launched its latest version in beta, codenamed "Invader", alongside the gold release. This migrated users to Google servers and included some new features. In December 2006, this new version of Blogger was taken out of beta. Blogger was ranked 16 on the list of top 50 domains in terms of number of unique visitors in 2007.

It's probably the easiest way to create and keep a blog up-to-date.
I would love though to if it could feature both basic and advanced versions, basic version being the current one, and advanced version offering more features to experimented users.

I use Blogger a lot, but dozens of things could be improved on this blog platform if the people in charge listened to their users. For example, I DO NOT want Blogger to automatically change my html code, and especially I do not want them to shift my br and font commands to the hated span tags which clutter up the code so badly that you can not read or correct anything any more once they do it. I also do not want style tags or any other undesired tags inserted without my permission in my "a href" links. This is all the worst type of intrusion into my personal writing imaginable. I also want to be able to change the size of my posting interface box so I do not have merely a tiny little window to enter text, so that I can see what I am posting on a larger scale. I do not want my blog dashboard blogs arranged automatically by my last posting, but I want to set an alphabetical list for all but my top blogs. I want to change the colors of Blogger because I do not like the ones that they have chosen for the Blogger graphic interface. etc. etc. The people at Blogger seem to be enamored of their own developments at Blogger - but I do not share that view.
