James, you dont need to install the sony ericsson suite...just let windows install it for you. You can access it via my computer...or you could install MyPhoneExplorer...much much easier. Anyways this is crap sofwtare.

Actually it comes with the bluetooth device such as bluetooth dongle.
If you're trying for a free software, FreeBT is one.
Is there a similar soft but free or open-source?

I bought the dongle early 2007 for 25 euro...and installed the software..It's a great and easy way to transfer image files and music from from computer to my phone and visa versa. Before i had to rely on sony ericsson's shit software that came with the phone (k800i). It used to hang or crash and was at least consistent in doing that. This is guarentees easy access and even better is wireless. I used my phone password as the password on the mobile side and on my PC.
