The 36th most popular design tool on Mac OS X
BookSmart is a bookmaking application developed by Blurb, Inc. It allows users to design and publish books. The software can import content from blogs, Flickr sets, Picasa, SmugMug, and iPhoto albums, business plans, recipes, photos, email, and other sources, and includes book templates to aid in the layout of the books. In addition, Blurb enables authors to market and sell books created with BookSmart through its online bookstore. Blurb authors can tag their book content with keywords to maximize exposure, set their own pricing, and provide potential readers with a 15-page preview. Did an update of the application a couple of days ago and now find that the application hangs when working on a large book so going to re-rate it accordingly.
The application is still very good however - it's the best of it's sort that I've used.
Very good software - easy to use and intuitive. Currently working on a book using it for one of Blurbs competitions.
Great application but users of latest version 2.0 (myself included) experiencing sluggishness and crashing. Wait for a newer update.
I mostly went with Blurb for my first book due to this software. It could use some improvements, but it's pretty nice overall.
Great app for creating your own books, expecially photobooks. Print quality of the service is also very good.
Easiest to work with for creating photo books out of all their competitors. interface and features could use some work.
Blurb is the best! Made some great books with this tool
