Buzzword is my absolute favorite web-based text editor. The language support is excellent, the interface is simple and gorgeous, and the whole set up is just so smooth. Much better than Google Docs in my opinion. The only downside is that the spell check isn't so good.
I love this text editor. It's clean, simple, and great for editing and sharing documents. While it doesn't really make it simple for more than one person to edit a document at a time, I rarely use any editor for that. More often I use them for writing it, then allowing others to revise and comment the piece. Buzzword is so far the best web-based software I've seen for that.
Buzzword is online "collaborative" text editor from Adobe (yes, it requires Adobe Flash to work). It anounced as collaborative, but you can't edit text with your colleague at one time, only one editor allowed at one time. Buzzword has only one strong feature -- import and editing PDF. If you don't need PDF go to Etherpad, Google Docs, any another online office suite which allows to edit more than one person and other good features.
still a long way to go...
Does not support many languages. Not much use to me.
what a pity that it don't support chinese !
