Uses cairo to render nice graphics, and Glitz to use hardware acceleration. It's fully configurable and can be a taskbar too. You can easily plug applets into it.

fast and cool dock
Just started using it. :)
Excellent dock for Linux. Customisable, full of features, and beautiful :)
Simply the best dock available. An incredible amount of settings and features, endless customization and it works smoothly, even on weak machines. And it has an incredibly active development community.
Fast and work great with my integrated GPU.. sometime a little awkward..
but it's fine..
