Mixed emotions. I have to say that I take a lot of photos. I used to use
Matrox cards but they are rather obsolete. ATI builds much better cards than
nVidia (far better colours, even if you use DVI) but their software is terrible.
It cannot be compared to NV and all the nice features of NV cards (CUDA).
Aweful software, lots and lots of features, but most of which are useless to
even advanced users. It's extremely slow and also slows down your computer, they
should take an example from Chrome and go all over and make a faster
version.
Feature-rich software for your ATI video card. Unfortunately, it's slow and
bulky, which makes doing pretty much anything in the interface a burden. If you
just want to change your resolution or enable/disable additional displays, use
the right-click menu in the tray instead since it doesn't require the interface
to load.
I'd love to see ATI completely rewrite the software to make a proper
interface that's snappy and fast, and not so ridiculously stylized.
When you start your windows XP SP3 computer , there will be a error that pops
up from the catalyst control center.
Its really annoying but however it doesnt really distract my daily work
though.I just have to click ok or close and it will be gone. However it will pop
up after booting up your computer the next time. This will continue to happen
unless it gets fixed.
Thats my review on this bloatware. Thanks for viewing!
This should just run in the background but like everything else these days
the developers felt it deserves your nonstop attention, despite never needing
adjustment or monitoring. Like the other guy said, great hardware with
average/poor software.
Easy to use for people who don't know much about videocard settings, but uses
a lot of resources and it's probably best not to use if you know how u should
set ur videocard settings.
I like it.. Very fast and usefull tool
slow. bulky. feature rich. yet absolete for probably 90% of all ati-card owners.
Not used this in years but just bought a new 4870 and I quite like it. Does almost everything anyone could want.
Slow, but it does the job.
It's okay to use, but I now just install the driver and skip the extra software altogether.

Nice piece of software.
And I agree with Paul, it is slow and bulky.

Nice video driver. Works fine here.
Software sucks awfully... (Sorry to say that...)

Takes for ever to start and it's pretty useless for the average user.
