It does burn DVDs but the current version (4.24) has issues with its burning
engine and so uses most of multiple cores on the CPU while burning - reminds me
of Nero when it first started (the same Nero that now takes 30 minutes to fully
install). Still, it's reliable, small, and you can't beat the price.
Only pro's for me... First it's free, very fully featured and its small. Only
5 MB compared to the hounderds of MB's Nero and co installs. Just the necesaire
features and no tons of stuff you never use. :)
We are looking to replace all our Roxio and Nero license.
It rules....
Free, tons of functions. Nero? Delete it if you can (it creeps deep in your
system), and use this. you won't regret. Even has a options for printing covers
and LightScribe-Disks. And despite the name... It works perfectly on Vista.
Seconded. It's free. It's got all the standard "advanced user"
options (e.g. for creating bootable cds). And the interface isn't excessively
flashy like much of the bundle-ware out there.

This could have been a nice replacement to NERO if it also did DVDs.
But for quick burning of CDs, this is great!
Free, small and does everything I need. Great product!

What a great little burning utility this is. Pretty damn full featured, and it's free! How great is that.
Fuck Nero, and Roxio. My money is on CDBurnerXP.

goodbye bloaty nero, and finicky vso.
P.S. It runs great on Vista too.
CD Burner XP is great; I've been on a hunt to find a good free DVD burner app, and this is my choice. It's reliable and easy to use.
My next choice to Nero, or Roxio.... but this is best Free burner for sure.
The best Free CD/DVD Burner. Clean interface and smooth.
