simply fantastic. the game can get slow with big world or when the game is approaching to end but still playable,
warlords expension brings new mods and new civilizations you can play with.
The best game in its genre by far.
Civilization IV is a very addictive game, especially with Warlords-expansion pack.
This game is amazing. I became addicted to Civilization along time ago with Civ 2. Other games like Call to Power came and went, but Civ 2 was always the standard. Civ 3 came along, and was an improvement in many ways but also a disappointment in others. It introduced some concepts that were interesting, but just plain didn't work the way they were implemented.
They work now. Civilization 4 really fixed the way a ton of things work. The combat is better than ever. Units rarely if ever lose in combat they really should win. Tanks no longer have to worry about getting killed by warriors.
Not having an important resource no longer completely cripples you.
Diplomacy is smarter than ever.
I don't know how much better Warlords is than regular Civ 4, because I didn't play that, and i don't know if Beyond the Sword is much better than Warlords, but I do know that this game is a great game.
This is probably one of the most time consuming games I've ever played. As a turn based strategy game it's hard to fault it. There is depth and challenge to the game that rivals traditional strategy games such as Chess and Go. Perhaps replay ability is limited to those who find such games uninteresting. Patience is needed.
Can't get enough of it.
Perhaps the most amazing game ever....
Addicted since I was 14!
The game ROCKS !!!!
