Best firewall, ugly antivirus, good Defence+. I use it with MSE and my PC feels fine.

Works also great on Windows 7

This FREE security suite is very light on resources and memory. (About 4MB of memory! Norton IS uses sometimes 200MB!)

Especially good for the advanced user.

This thing caused a serious APPCRASH problem on my system, which was unbelievably annoying. Not useful for me.

best firewall n 2009

I've recently stopped using this product. It gets itself overly confused too often for my liking. It's too intrusive as well when you initially run and train it.

Let's be honest, Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Windows Firewall and a dollop of common sense are more than enough for the average home user.

I like This Program, really better than zone Alarm

Pretty much the only package you need. First thing I install on a new Windows installation after Firefox.

I was on the hunt for the best free firewall software on Windows and I think I finally found it with Comodo. It has most of the features of the non-free firewalls which is great because it can be simple for novice users but it can also be advanced enough for experts.

I use this firewall from three years ago, in XP and now in 7 Professional. It's cool, intercepts every strange conecction, doesn't use much RAM and works smoothly. I love this firewall :D
