Besides being an excellent, beautiful, customizable and easy-to-use mindmapping tool, it offers brainstorming, notes support for the ideas and many features for project managers. You can look at the ideas as organized tasks, include task-like description for your ideas(like cost, duration, resources, % completion) and more.
It exports the mindmap image as html, image, pdf and the outline of the ideas as xml, txt, html, ppt and even MS Project file(MS Project, html and txt outline will also include the task description and notes that the project manager described), other formats include RTF, OPML, iCal and iPod support.
I always use it for project management before exporting to some full-featured tool(like omniPlan or MS Project)
I got version 5 for free so I use it but it's not that much better than FreeMind (which is free).
