I am trying to think how I came to use it. But at least its free. Perhaps I inadvertently click on it, or something. LOL

I'm a Conduit user - I have to agree that most toolbars are poor, but there are exceptions. I don't agree that these toolbars change your home page - your home page stays as is, and you have full control over what can be changed and what cannot. This is part of the installation process. Should you wish to uninstall, there is a uninstaller available and once uninstalled, no trace of the conduit software is left upon your PC.
 
Arguments about changing your search are poor - if you use the Google toolbar, you will use Google search, so what's wrong with using the toolbar search... which is powered by Google? The conduit search CAN be disabled prior to and after installation if required.

Conduit toolbars are independently verified by TRUSTe and are safe to use.

I think i use this in the form of the trukz toolbar. Actualy i know nothing about it because i only use the options trukz has put in it.

It is use full when you want to organische the links for a intrests group with the snme needs and habbits i manage a toolbar and have over hunderd installed toolbars within a month and get verry good responses the toolbar system works realy great and the content we put in make the toolbar useful.
and yes i agree there are alot of toolbars with bad content but also realy good ones with lots of usefull content i made a toolbar for imvu surrounding sponsored by a Band to promote there music and it is working great so far

Had a look at it out of interest to create my own branded toolbar - hated it and wouldn't what it have anyone else use it.
