I rate this app a LOT.
It's great if, like me, you need a "21st century" way of creating cartoons and artwork. I just wish I didn't have, ohhh, about fifteen years of Photoshop experience to unlearn - it's a very different animal altogether.....

I love this Program. It has helped me make some great looking graphics for lots of web site projects. it has an interface that looks pretty much like Photoshop but the best part of it is its Brushes. You will feel like you are a professional painter with all the tools you want at one click.
A great prog with a huge collection of brushes and other nice tools.
painter X has startup problems and overall this is definitely not made for speed, but IX is packed with enough tools and presets to make anyone feel like a painting master. The Mixer palette is a special favorite.
cool program love to use it, unfortunately it heats up the CPU a great deal. And after deleting this application it leaves a service running on your PC: PSIService.exe (runs with PSIKey.dll in the system32 folder) from protexislicensing. Both can be deleted manually.
