Counter-Strike: Source (also known as CS or simply CS:S) is a multiplayer, team-based tactical first-person shooter video game, developed by Valve and Turtle Rock Studios. It is a remake of Counter-Strike, the 1999 modification of Half-Life. Built on the Source engine, the game was released in 2004 along with Half-Life 2. As of 28 February 2008, the game is the most played Half-Life 2 mod, according to GameSpy.
As in the original version, Counter-Strike: Source games pit a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won by either completing a mission (such as detonating a bomb or rescuing hostages) or by eliminating all members of the opposing team. Unlike Half-Life: Source, the game is totally a remake from the ground-up instead of being a port.

The game is good, but it suffers from a gamer-base filled with immature brats.
If you like fps (first person shooter)games then this is a must try game :=)

I assume it's good... except on crud computers (like mine). Still, where there's a will, there's a way...
Still prefer the original Counter-Strike to CS:S.
This version does have a better GUI and refined models,maps,etc.
The shooting is not the same as 1.6 though, it is much easier to get head shots on Source by just spraying.

"Will never be surpassed"? What are you talking about, people said that about the original Counter-Strike. Of course it will be surpassed, easily even, by a game with new awesome features. Besides, why did you give it a 4 out of 5 then? :S
