Dead Space

I can't comprehend why didn't they go with a first-person camera in Dead Space. It would be more immersive and so on, and would feel more natural.

Aside from that, it's a great game for a single playthrough, since the plot is 100% linear.

Sci-fi horror shooter with a somewhat familiar story line - Doom (3) keeps popping into mind while playing this. The story is however brilliantly unfolded. At first I thought the 'cut of their limbs' scrawled in blood on the walls was somewhat gruesome, but believe you me, near the end of the game EVERY body had all its limbs stomped on just to be sure...

The atmosphere is brilliant! I was a bit hesitant to get into this, but its better than reading a book. :-)

The only major gripe on this game are the controls - this game is hardly playable using a standard mouse / keyboard combination. The main character simply turns too slowly using mouse (even with max sensitivity). Although this heightens the nightmare effect, it is a major annoyance. My mouse wrist even start complaining after a final run finishing the last three chapters (on easy...) due to having to pick up the mouse each time to pull a full 180 degree turn.

Dead space is An awesomely creepy game!, It has good graphics (uses Godfather engine) and nice monster designs, The creepy music will add creeps to the player making it scary and shocking, anyway Dead space is a Great Survival horror game!

Only played this for about 1.5 hours so far and am quite getting into it. The non first-person perspective is taking a little getting used to but I think it works pretty good. There are more chances for things to creep up behind on you than in a normal FPS. My biggest gripe is the save-game method. dumb intertia mouse controls, feels like the pointer is on an ice-rink. not the end of the world though.

The graphics are okay, but I simply don't like the absence of first person.

Great game, great graphics and performance. My only nag with the game is the controls - a bit un-natural if you ask me.

Yeah it is. In my opinion is right up there at the Crysis level of goodness.

Installs a rootkit in /Windows/System32 called "svhosts.exe", which seems to be trying to name itself like svchost.

What can I say, it certainly isn't scary.

I think this game is extremely well done. I am fairly critical and although I've only played it for a couple hours I am yet to find something not to like. Weapons are very interesting, lots of attention to detail and very beautiful graphics.

Good fps/horror game. Recomend for fps fans ;)
