The 4th most popular development manager on Linux

Dia is free software/open source general-purpose diagramming software, developed as part of the GNOME project's office suite and was originally created by Alexander Larsson. Dia uses a controlled single document interface (CSDI) similar to GIMP and Sodipodi. Dia has a modular design with several shape packages available for different needs: flowchart, network diagrams, circuit diagrams, etc. It does not restrict symbols and connectors from various categories from being placed together. Dia can be used to draw many different kinds of diagrams. It currently has special objects to help draw entity-relationship models, UML diagrams, flowcharts, network diagrams, and simple circuits. It is also possible to add support for new shapes by writing simple XML files, using a subset of SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) to draw the shape.

I use its Windows version. It is a good alternative to MS Visio.

Dia is a very handy alternative to visio.

The good news (for me) is that the latest version is using multiple-taps interface already.

Очень хорошая программа - по-быстрому нарисовать диаграмму или алгоритм большего и не надо. К плюсам можно отнести бесплатность и возможность экспортирования в другие форматы.

Good for flow diagrams, etc. Has a lot of specialist symbols, such as those used by information system designers, electrical design etc. SVG so can be exported and printed any size.

Kind of lacking in the looks department, but this program does a great job at what it was intended to do.

Very good for drawing diagrams, could have a better UI, but it's ok.
