Cool site, has lots of funny/random stuff but also some serious news too.
Good stuff for making a link hot for a moment...
It's a great time-waster, that's for sure, and you're sure to find that odd, cool story from time to time. There's a lot of irrelevant stuff that makes it to the front pages somehow, but if you wade through it, you'll find a lot to like.
Also, for those saying that it's not a social networking site, that's not entirely accurate. From the start digg was intended to be a "social news" site where users could share content discovered anywhere on the net. There has to be some social networking component, it wouldn't be digg otherwise.
its a good service
fine, but so much stupid stuff in top
Good way to keep up with interesting tech stories, although it does have a problem with "power users" being the only select few people who can have a story make it to the front page. Digg fixed the shout thing, now they just need to get rid of "friends" all together. It's a news site, not a social networking site.
Digg's article submission procedure is tedious in the extreme, and, unless you're already part of the MSM, it's pointless too. It is a great place for trend spotting.
Great for wasting time
Good way to keep up to date with the latest tech news.
This is where I waste most of my valuable time.
Monster Cable blows chunks. Digg, on the other hand, is pretty good at bringing quite some interesting stores to light.
monster cable does suck
Great social bookmarking website, I have an RSS feed set up, which filters the submitted articles. Love reading the comments on Digg. Also a huge fan of Diggnation (and even bigger fan of the Totally Rad Show)!
You can disable DiggBar by the way... oh and Monster Cable sucks!!!

Great site. Used to be better when it was mainly about tech, but now it's slowly getting lamer with useless crap they add like the diggbar.
