Best IM client
It's better than downloading 5 IM Clients
All your Im in one, plus a couple of other features, like keeping you up to date with what is happening on facebook. Digsby does have a few faults, but I think it is the multiple messenger software out there.
Digsby is a unique multi-protocol IM client. Not only does it do IM, but it does email and social networks as well. Very valuable tool for those who need to keep in touch.
More stable than pidgin for me. Pidgin kept crashing on me, this just keeps on going :)
Pretty decent app. Much better than Trillian.
Great multi-messenger, by far the best I've came across. The only thing I dislike is their accounting system. They hold your information (MSN, AIM, or email info) in your digsby account and I don't really want or care for that.
Best all-in-one messenger around. Great skins and sounds can be found at digbies.org or something along those lines. All around very well organized messenger and email checker. Only problem it has is constantly logging on and off facebook which can annoy some other users who use messenger clients to connect to FB.
I came to know about this app via Lifehacker. I kept on shifting messengers from Pidgin --> Trillian --> Digsby where i finally found salvation.
I needed a Instant messenger with multi-protocol support mainly Yahoo, hotmail and gmail. This served my purpose. Also by the use of Digsby I just needed to remember a single username and password for all my email,IM,social networking accounts which made life so easier.
It uses cloud computing to store all your client settings and that just reduces the time of managing the application on different machines and for a fresh installation of the OS.
No more wasting RAM, No more damn error messages, No more filling log-in forms....Everything have done by Digsby! Hope it will come with skype chat too! :)
One of my Favorite IM clients, I use it for everything except Windows Live now. With built in Facebook and Tokbox, it accomplishes almost everything I want it to.
I want try it Hop be good
This is my preferred chat client now after using Trillian for the last 3+. Works pretty well, and it's free.
A great multiprotocol messenger, the only problem is it's lack of plugin extensibility and issues with performance on low powered machines like netbooks or mid's.
The best part of Digsby is that all your contacts, settings, and login information is stored server side so all your Digsby instances running across devices stay synced. The passwords kept on their servers are encrypted and decrypted using your Digsby login information making them reversible by only yourself.
No more checking Twitter, no more Yahoo Messenger, no more Pidgin, no more MSN Messenger, no more Facebook for chat. Everything rolled into a single app. Would like some better skins.. but otherwise, doesn't get much better than this..
