Directory Opus

I tried it for a while, but, seriously, 80 dollars for every major release? Come on...
It is some great application indeed, and it is hard to find an adequate replacement, but its price is way too heavy for most end-users. I can't figure out why a file manager has to do all these things DOpus can...

Too expensive. TC its better!

One of the best, if not the best, file manager there is. It's certainly the most expensive I've come across. My issues are with it's overall complexity and value. It's probably Ok if you're a power, power user, but for most users it tends toward overkill and needless complexity - Similar to the more recent editions of ClipMate.

From a value perspective, it's marginal, at best. if you need the full realm of it's features, you may find it to be worth the price, but most users can get by with something much less expensive, e.g xplorer2.

It also seems to be another of those vendors who feel they can profit most from their existing customer base by charging a rather exorbitant fee for upgrades - another of my pet peeves. I currently use via securing a license during a half-price offering. I would not have paid full price and will not upgrade at their current rate.

Greate file commander with tonns of features and totally customizable, but really too pricey as for me, though my choice. Beats TC and all the others, but has quite high entry threshold.

I couldn't live without directory opus, but yeah, too expensive.

I remember this from the Amiga days, I am glad it is available on Windows. It makes working with files so much easier and it works with windows 7 64bit, but in 32 bit mode.
the user interface can be a bit strange, but I think that is because it is a Amiga port.

Everything is cool but the interface could be little more minimalistic and so does price..
