Diskeeper 2009 is a Defragmentation Program that bills itself as a leave and forget solution. I find myself willing to agree.

Diskeeper by far and away has one of the coolest methods of defragmentation I've ever seen, granted it does hit your hard disk quite a bit for re-writing the files, the consistant and constant defragmentation is the ultimate in luxury for lazy compute users, setting it up on any drive will have it: Just work, and you will never need to worry about it again.

However not all is bright in Disk-keeping land. Diskeeper 2009 also costs 70 Dollars. And for a Defragmentation program that is very steep. I myself prefer vastly to get one of the free defragmenters such as: Defraggler, Auslogics, and if you have XP: Power Defragmenter, as all of these are free and work VERY well. Diskeeper can do just as well but at a cost. I would prefer to not be lazy and not have to spend the money myself, since so many other defragmenters can get the job done for free.

Keeps my hard drive snappy. It easily gets fragmented from constant writing and deleting of files.

I have Diskeeper Lite because it was preinstalled on the Thinkpad's hard disk. It's a reasonably fast disk defragmenter.

Best thing to use in this kind of software. You can forget about this tool after 2 minutes of configuration, it will do all the work for you.
