Doom 3 is a science fiction horror first-person shooter computer game. It was developed and published by id Software, and was released on August 3, 2004. Doom 3, despite its name, is not a direct continuation of the original Doom series storyline, but rather a re imagining of the first game in the series, with the addition of a completely new game engine and graphics. Set in the year 2145 in a fictional Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC) research center on Mars, Doom 3 has the player take control of an anonymous space marine as he fights to survive a mysterious invasion of inter-dimensional demons. another one of my all time favorites, love this game, always will...still looks quite good even today with everything cranked up to the max.
Creepy game even 5 years after release. The "monsters in closets" scare is a cheap trick, but never stops making you jump even at the end of the game. Worth picking up if you've never played it.

Doom 3 is one of the best shooters ever made, with an engrossing single-player campaign that will leave you looking over your shoulder after playing. Even after 4 years, Doom 3 still offers a first-class experience that should not be missed.
