The aim of drapes is to complete (or replace) the built-in GNOME desktop wallpapers selection tool. It can be configured as a tray application or as a panel applet. The bigest selling point of drapes is the ability to rotate wallpapers on a timely basis. It strives to be as simple as possible and fits in the rest of the GNOME 2 desktop.

    Drapes gives you what you were looking for, interchangeable wallpapers on your desktop under Linux, you can change them with a single click or based on time lapse.

    The only problem is that sometimes it gets frozen, so you have to configure it manually through gconf-editor. I hope this little bug will be solved on later versions.
