The 2nd most popular sync tool on Linux

Share

Dropbox is a super fast file syncing utility without a complicated interface to learn. It's seamlessly integrated into your desktop and all of your files are available via the web. Shared folders can be used for easy collaboration around files. It includes version management so you can un-delete files or restore old versions in a snap.

    Dropbox. It's awesome.

You can use it on any platform you like. The sync tool is like no other. Wether you're a paid subscriber or a free user (you get 2gb free storage, which you can expand to 5gb by referring users) it's a great way to make sure you have a backup of your files, get complete version tracking and of course sync to all computers that are running it.

Dropbox is the only place I store stuff I don't want to lose.

Absolutely amazing software! So easy to backup, so fast, and never had any problems. Would rather use UbuntuOne, but Dropbox is just simply better by far!

I've known about Dropbox for a while, but I was slow to adopt it as a syncing solution. Previous to Dropbox I was using the beta version of Microsoft Live Mesh service. I have both Mac and PC platforms and I found Live Mesh a bit buggy on the Mac. I decided to try Dropbox and I've had no problems keeping Mac and PC synced up. I Can't recommend Dropbox enough... great solution.

This tool is great! It acts like a simple folder and I don't need to sync between my notebook and desktop anymore! I also shared a few dir's with friends so we can exchange files. + I have the demo version with around 3 gb of space cause of some invites so I have more than enough space.
