DVD Player is fairly well designed app for being included in OSX, but the
interface is sub-par, controls are terrible, and it's lacking in the features
list.
I give DVD player 5 stars. It does just what the name implies. It plays DVD
on my Mac with no trouble at all. It even plays DVDs that are burned and don't
work in some conventional DVD players. That may just be a hardware thing though.
The interface is simple and has everything one would expect and need. I could
use VLC but why bother when DVD player pops up automatically and does a fine
job. I don't see any reason to use another DVD app on the Mac.
At times DVD Player can take up more system resources than I expect it to.
VLC doesn't seem to have this problem, when playing any video file (or DVD).
It works, what else is there to say? I do greatly appreciate the fact that it
can play VIDEO_TS folders that I keep for my own created DVDs onto my NAS for
play without the disc.
Simple, great value. Don't bother, stick to the basics with this DVD Player called: DVD Player.

Wish Apple would make this app a little sexier, same with Quicktime. Both majorly used applications - both major ugly.
Too much love for this <3.

Not a bad piece of kit. Comes as standard i guess.
Solid DVD program. It's the only one I use due to being the only one I know off, haha. Anyway it's super, good features and rarely crashes.
not working on my hacked intel mac
nice and simple DVD player

NICE STUFF! it works better than front row and integrated well with MAC OS X

Its good does the job well but i prefer using VLC
Works great, I wish it had some more advanced features like dolby headphone and HD support, but free and stable is still good in my book.
Still plays DVDs just fine.
